Apple has launched a social networking feature that offers Geolocation. most recently, Apple filed a patent application in the field of mobile social networking, for homemade smart phones, the iPhone.
In a patent filing to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, titled "Group Formation Using Anonymous Broadcast Information ', Apple plans to create a social network that offers data geographic locations connected to the iPhone, as well as with other brand phones.
Through social networking iGroups person can connect with all friends of other mobile phone users that is near the location.
They can share information and send messages through instant messaging, SMS, or email, whether sent individually and directly to all members group.dapat also exchange calendar schedule, invite to an event, invite other colleagues who have not become members of the group to enter group.
With Apple's MobileMe service, mobile users are not equipped with GPS location determinants can still participate in networking iGroups, with a virtual GPS features it has.
This application is not so different from other applications such as Foursquare Geolocation, Gowalla, Whrrl, Loopt, and others. However, this could be a step for Apple to continue to compete with Google previously has features Google location Latitude.
